Throwback Thursdays: Nina + Darius

Went to a friend’s house last weekend and we put on Love Jones. While I always crack up at the outdated elements, the film is still a classic because of the way it handles the issues of love and vulnerability.

Also, whenever I rewatch it I notice something new. Amanda of The AOC is rubbing off on me because this time, I picked up on the use of colors and shadows. The subtlety of the red, brown, green, gray and blue hues adds to the emotion of each scene.

I wonder if Nina and Darius stayed together. What do you think?
