Last week, I went on a Green Cleanse – meaning nothing but luscious green fruits and veggies – for about five days.
I’ve read that this type of cleanse can help alkalinize the body, assist in weight loss, clear up skin problems, cleanse the liver and relieve the body of toxic mucous. I definitely did feel less gassy and bloated last week. I’m sure if I stayed on it longer I would see more results.
Having an abundance of green foods to work with made me get pretty creative in the kitchen. Here is a recipe for a deliciously simple minty green fruit salad I made a few times for breakfast.
Measurements and Ingredients
1 honey dew melon
1 green apple
1 pear
2 limes
3 mint sprigs
Preparation Method: Chop up the mint, apple, honey dew and pear and place them all together in a bowl with a lid. Cut the limes in half and squeeze the juice into the bowl. Place the lid onto the bowl and shake it to mix up the fruit, lime juice and mint.
